Taking A Break

It must be a mixed feeling for everyone. It feels like we are finally going back to our normal daily routines. Kids going back to school. People are going back to work. I can’t wait to see how everything is rolling out for us in 2022. 

If you’re following me on my social media or spoke to me in the shop recently. You know I’ve been feeling burnout and depressed in January. I think a lot of you have noticed how quiet the streets were at the beginning of the month, especially in Melbourne, it was technically another lockdown. And while you’re walking through the streets, shops were closed, cafes were only providing limited services because of staff shortage. It gave me a terrible feeling of what’s coming ahead of us. I know everything is going to be fine, I can’t stop feeling stressed and depressed when I am sitting at the shop. I can’t focus on the things I need to do to make this work. SO. Even though I was battling the guilt of what seems to be slack, I decided to take a break.It’s harder than it looks to step away from the daily grind, but I also understand this is the way to give myself space and bring the magic sauce to thai year’s success. I believe I can adapt and make this work. 

So after a few days up in NSW to be with my family. I feel recharged and hopeful. I have set some goals for myself and the business. I also know I need to be kind to myself. It’s really strange that once I am outside of the environment I can think clearly. I can see how to keep moving forward.

While I am away, I am still creative and drawing a lot of new designs. I’ll be back to the shop on the 4th Feb. I can’t wait to go back to work. Stay tuned, I’ll be showing you our Feb limited edition next week.
