Daisy Would Have Turned 10 Today
Today would have been Daisy’s 10th birthday.
It still feels a little strange to say “would have”… but in many ways, she’s still here — just in quieter, gentler forms.
A lot of you have been following me for years would know or met Daisy. She used to come to the shop with me when we had a shop at Queen Victoria Market. She was my shop ambassador. Over the years I have created a "Daisy collection" simply sharing the joy of having her around, little did I know her drawings but you so much comfort and joy.
Daisy wasn’t just part of my life — she shaped it in ways I’m still discovering.
Her calm presence, her warmth, and the simple joy she brought into everyday moments…
those are the things I wanted to capture and share.
After Daisy passed, we have decided part of the profit of Daisy's collection will go to charity. And I am glad that a lot of you continue to love our Daisy's products.
Because of that support, we were able to do something meaningful.
All proceeds from the Daisy collection were donated to the Australian Animal Protection Society (AAPS), where Daisy and I had once fostered a dog together — an experience that stayed with me deeply.
Together, we’ve now sponsored a pen at AAPS.
It’s a simple thing, but an important one — a safe and comfortable space for animals while they wait for their forever homes.
In a way, it feels like Daisy is still doing what she always did best: bringing comfort, quietly and without asking for anything in return.
This is what Daisy’s Gentle Paw Funds has become.
Not just a collection, but a small continuation of her kindness.
Thank you for being part of this.
For supporting, for remembering, and for allowing her story to keep going.
💛
