The Story of Tennille & Oscar 🐾

When I started this free dog portrait project, I wanted to create something that celebrates the love we share with our dogs — I want people to have something on their wall to remind them what a good time they had with their fur babies. What I didn’t expect was how deeply each story would move me. Every message I receive feels like a warm hug — full of memories, loyalty, and gentle reminders of how much goodness there still is in the world.

This month, I want to share the story of Tennille and Oscar — a bond that lasted sixteen beautiful years. Oscar wasn’t the kind of dog who did tricks or chased balls; he was a quiet soul, happiest when simply being near the people he loved. His story made me smile, tear up, and feel so much gratitude for all the dogs who make our lives brighter.

There're so many people asked me if I can do commissioned piece of their dogs but I have turned down all the opportunities. I am glad that I did because if I didn't, there's no way that I would get to know all these beautiful stories. Thank you for sharing your life with me. It's a privilege to know all of you.
